The Christman Family

H – “I want chips!”
Me – “I don’t have any chips.”
H – Screams and cries like her puppy just died. Then yells again “I want chips!”
So this goes on for a good 10 minutes.
D – “ Mama why is Hailey crying?”
Me – “Because she is mad.”
D – “I’m going to try and make her happy.”
He then starts making faces at her.
H – “Stop it Bubba.”
D – “That didn’t work mama.”
She then starts the yelling and crying again. So I pull over at the truck stop and buy them both a bag of chips. I know I shouldn’t give in but it was either give in or leave her at the truck stop. So when I put her back in the car I asked her are you happy now? She looked at me and says “yes” like if you had just given me chips to begin with there wouldn’t have been an issue. So she walked into daycare with a big bag of chips for breakfast. I’m sure they thought what a great breakfast but I did not care. I was not about to try and take away the chips before she went into daycare.

H had her 2 year check up Friday. She was 35” 80% for height, 27.28 60% for weight, and her head was 48.28. So she is growing like a weed. Looks like she is going to be tall like her bubba. She also showed Dr. Riser just what a temper she has. I asked about her rashes that just seem to come and go for no reason. She thinks it may be nerves but said if it continues we can have her tested. She just did not want to put H through a bunch of tests for nothing.

Well my baby turned 2 today. She celebrated her birthday by taking off her diaper at the kitchen table and peeing in the chair. Now that’s the way to start your birthday off. My mom baked brownie cupcakes for her class so we took them to her daycare this morning. Hopefully she will have a fun little party. I’m going to buy her a box of band-aids for her gift today. I’m not even joking. It will likely go over better then the clothes we got her. She is really into putting them on her and her bubba right now. She will come up to me and say hurt mama. Then she runs to get a band-aid to put on. She went through the whole box I had. Poor D keeps telling her I don’t want it but she still tries to put them on him. So I’m going to let her cover herself in band-aids today because what says it’s my birthday more than putting band-aids all over yourself. LOL

We had H’s Birthday Party on Saturday and she has a blast. I can’t believe she will be 2 on Thursday. She is growing up so fast. Our family came out to help us celebrate. Hailey did extremely well considering she did not take a nap like I wanted her to. We had an Elmo party since she is really into him lately. That and Cookie Monster which she calls cookiedo(See the video of her saying it below). Hailey got lots of clothes which she really needed and a few toys.

Thank everyone so much for coming and all the wonderful gifts and spending time with us. We really enjoyed it so much. We feel incredibly blessed to have such a great extend family! Love you all!
