On Saturday my Mom took us to town to get new shoes. Thanks Mom! Anyway we went by S&W to get D his flu mist for free. They would not give H hers because you had to be 4-18 for the flu study. When we got there one of the little girls from D’s school was there. She waved really big and said Hi D. D of course just says Hi. So he is running around and she says something to him and he calls her Charlie Barley. Well she comes back with “D Darlin’.” As soon as she said it D’s face goes blank and he rolls his eyes like OMG I can’t believe she said that. I wish I had a camera to catch the face he made. It was priceless. Of course my mom and I could not stop laughing. D looks at us and says “I don’t like that.” So I being the wonderful mom I am tease him calling him “D Darlin” all day. He was none too happy with me. I think of all the knick names he could have been called that one is really cute.

TOT class for D
At D’s school they have a class called TOT (teams of tomorrow). It uses basketball to teach the kids fine motor skills and educational things. It is kind of pricey so when they sent the flyer home Davey and I just ignored it thinking D would never know. Well a couple of weeks ago I am dropping the kids off and D starts begging me to go to the ball class. So I tell D we will see what we can do. Davey and I don’t have the extra money right now to send him so I asked my mom and dad if they would pay for some of it and Davey asked his mom. So thanks to the grandparents he is getting to go to the class. He had his first class last week and he says he loved it. I am hoping that this will turn out to be really good for him.

Sickness at our House
After H drank the ibuprofen I ended up taking her to the doctor. I don’t think I had a sound nights sleep from the time she drank it. So the 2nd day after she started running fever and coughing. She was sick all weekend so I took her in on Monday. Turns out it was nothing to do with the ibuprofen she had drank it was an ear and sinus infection. They put her on antibiotics and she is doing much better. I was just glad to know it was nothing I did.
So with H on the mend I went back to work not feeling great myself because I think she gave me the virus she had. I went and took the Flu Mist because it was free and start to feel even worse by the end of the day. By that night I was running almost 103 and felt like I had been hit by a bus. So not fun. I learned you should never take the flu mist if you don’t feel good. So I am feeling better but still not 100%.
My mom and I took D to get the Flu Mist on Saturday again because it was free. He seems to be doing fine with it. He has a cough but I think that is from his allergies. All the drainage makes it hard on him since he will not blow his nose or spit the nasty stuff out.
Anyway I think everyone is finally on the mend at our house. Last week was so not fun. Having sick kids and being sick yourself makes for a hard time. Thank goodness Davey was not gone.

Ok so H is definitely trying to take me out.
This time she tried to give me a heart attack. Tuesday night around 6pm H was very quiet so I went to see what she was up to. When I walked into our bedroom I saw an empty ibuprofen bottle on our bed. I looked to see if maybe she had poured it out but of course not. So I asked her did you drink this? To which she responded by shaking her head yes and saying “Tummy hurted.” I guess she thought she was going to fix her tummy ache by downing the bottle of ibuprofen. I was at least glad that the bottle was only about ¼ full. So anyway I went into panic mode and forced her to throw up then drink something and throw up again. Then because I was still freaked out I started giving her anything and everything in the house that had sugar and caffeine. After juicing her up on sugar and caffeine I took the kids outside and made them run around. I didn’t want her to get sleepy not knowing how much of it stayed in her system. She never acted any different. She was playing and laughing like nothing had happened. So around 9pm I was still freaked out so I break down and call poison control. The lady was very nice and told me that basically a kid her size would have to drink almost the whole bottle to be toxic. This made me feel somewhat better but still not great. So D, H, and I partied like rock stars until midnight. At that point I was fairly sure she was fine. I stayed up until 3am watching her sleep and just making sure she was breathing. I finally went to sleep only to have H jumping on my bed at 6am saying “Hi Mama, watcha doin’?” Well D and I just wanted to sleep but I guess all the sugar and caffeine where still in her system because she woke up bouncing off the walls. Crazy girl is going to kill me. So now our bathroom is staying locked and they have to use the other bathroom. D was not happy about this but I can’t trust H to stay out of everything. Plus she can get into the child proof stuff without a problem. I am going to starting handing her the pickle jars when I can’t get them open.
I swear if we both live to see her turn 21 it will be a miracle.

Oh my back
I am so not a fan of getting older. Since I feel chasing H I have had back problems. I thought I was doing better until Wednesday I went to get H out of the bath tub and something just snapped. OMG! It felt like someone took a knife and stabbed me in the back. I dropped Hailey back in the tub and feel on the floor crying. So of course Hailey started crying and Dylan was looking at me asking what was wrong. I felt bad that I scared them but I could not move for about 10 minutes. I finally was able to get up enough to help H crawl out of the tub and get a diaper on her. Then I crawled to the living room and called my mom to get a heating pad. I laid there on the heating pad with my feet up on the couch and took some of my mom’s muscle relaxers she sent. I ended up going to the doctor the next day and she said it was a pulled muscle and it will likely hurt for 4 to 6 weeks. She gave me Robaxin and 800MG Ibuprofen. This has helped some but not at night. Waking up at 1am felling like you are in labor is not fun. All of you that have felt back labor know what I am talking about. So I have called today asking for something stronger for the night. I so don’t want to go through that every night for the next couple of weeks. Ugh! Getting older sucks! You know come to think about it both times I have hurt my back it has involved H. Maybe it is not getting older it is just that my daughter is out to get me.
