The Christman Family

We had a wonderful Thanksgiving! Lots of food, family, and fun. H feel asleep on the couch before we even began so we left her there. Never wake a sleeping bear! After we all ate way too much food we sat around and talked. It really was a good day. Once everyone headed home my mom and I sat down to make our black Friday plans. We went through the papers marking what we wanted then had to decided which items we wanted most so we could be first in line.

Friday for my mom and I started at 2:30am so we could leave the house by 3am because JCP was opening at 4am. Well when we got to JCP I noticed that nobody was outside Wal-Mart so I had my mom dropped me off so I could see what they were doing this year. Turns out for the big items you had to get a ticket and stand in line. So I got a ticket for the 32” LCD TV and got in line. Because if you got out of line they took your ticket. Then I called Davey and told him he needed to come get in line so I could go shop. That made his day let me tell you. LOL I think he likes it more then he lets on. Beside I gave him something to complain about for the next year. So he finally go there so I could go with my mom to JCP and get our free snow globe. The lines there were too long to wait so we headed back to Wal-Mart so I could get the items I wanted that you did not need a ticket for. I swear it was like piranhas surrounding a fresh carcass. Once they said it was time people just started grabbing. I watch shoppers clear a pallet in 2 seconds flat. Crazy! And yes one of the shoppers was me. After Wal-Mart we hit more stores finding most of what we wanted but knowing when you choose to start at one store you are going to miss stuff at others. We also made it to the Mall in time to be one of the first 200 shoppers so we received a $15 gift card and a bag of goodies. I love black Friday! My mom and I always have such a great time. I think I look more forward to it then Thanksgiving. LOL

Now to brag on my wonderful husband. Since we got the LCD TV for the kids playroom we or should I say he needed to mount it on the wall. Well being the wonderful wife I am I had to pick the one wall that had no power. So Davey had to run power, move the satellite cable, put up a shelf to hold the electronics, and mount the TV. He did all of that in spite of the fact he had to pack and leave town on Sunday. And may I say it looks really nice. He also hung up hooks so that we now have a place to hang our coats and the kids backpacks. Thanks babe you are the best!

Since Davey was working on getting everything fixed the way I wanted it I turned into the Christmas Nazi. I will say that I did not ask him to get all my decorations down from the attic so at least that was one thing off his list. So I started decorating Saturday morning and did not stop until 2am Sunday. I was able in that time to get almost everything done. I still have some boxes to put back up in the attic and clean up from all the decorating but for the most part I think I am done.

I’m so excited I think this is the first year I have almost everything done before December 1! Yay me!!!!
